Learn to SUP with MIW!

Description

Experience the freedom and fun of stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) in a completely personalized session. Whether you're a first-timer or looking to improve your skills, our Private SUP Session offers tailored coaching and one-on-one attention from our experienced instructors.

What’s included:

  1. A custom lesson based on your experience and goals.
  2. Comprehensive instruction on technique, balance, and paddling.
  3. All necessary equipment, including paddleboard, paddle, wetsuit, and safety gear.
  4. Time on the water with guidance to help you progress at your own pace.
  5. Tips and feedback to improve your SUP skills or to try something new like SUP yoga or SUP fitness.

Duration: 1 hours (longer sessions available by request).

Perfect for:

  1. Beginners who want a slow introduction to SUP.
  2. More experienced paddlers looking to refine their technique.
  3. Individuals or small groups who prefer a personalized, private lesson.

What to bring

  1. A cap if it is very sunny or hat for winter
  2. Sunglasses on a string
  3. Suncream
  4. Water
  5. Wetsuit boots or neoprene beach shoes (if you have them) or you can borrow some of ours.


Itinerary

1. Welcome & Introduction
  1. Meet your instructor and discuss your goals for the session.
  2. Overview of the session plan and safety briefing.
  3. Quick check of equipment and fitting (paddleboard, paddle, buoyancy aid).
2. On-Land Basics
  1. Introduction to paddleboarding techniques:
  2. How to hold the paddle and basic paddling strokes.
  3. Mounting and dismounting the board.
  4. Tips for balance and posture.
  5. Quick practice on land if needed.
3. On-Water Skills & Practice
  1. Begin on calm water to practice the basics:
  2. Getting comfortable standing on the board.
  3. Forward paddling and turning techniques.
  4. Balance and recovery tips.
  5. Gradual progression to more advanced skills (depending on your goals):
  6. Improving efficiency and stroke power.
  7. Exploring the area or trying new maneuvers.
4. Cool-Down & Wrap-Up
  1. Gentle paddle back to the starting point.
  2. Reflect on progress made during the session.
  3. Personalized feedback and tips for future paddling.
