Ghyll Scrambling - Church Beck (Age 14+)

Take a thrilling plunge into the wild world of Church Beck Upper Sessions with Genuine Adventures' Ghyll Scrambling experience! This exciting canyoning activity is perfect for those age 14 and up who are looking to explore the beauty of Coniston and challenge themselves. You'll be provided with all technical gear needed plus an experienced instructor, so you can rest assured that safety always comes first.

As you traverse through cascading waterfalls, scramble over rocks, jump into deep pools and slide down natural slides, you'll find yourself in awe of this stunning Lake District landscape. With about 3 hours to explore the rapids and brave any challenges along your way, this Ghyll Scrambling adventure will leave you feeling energized and alive like never before

Swimming Costume

A pair of old shorts to where on the outside of the wetsuit

Good fitting footwear like old trainers or boots (will get very wet) flip flops, crocs, and watershoes are not appropriate

On your session you will first meet you instructor at the old station car park.

They will brief you on your activity and hand out equipment you need. This will consist of a wetsuit, buoyancy aid and a helmet.

You will then be lead to the ghyll which is only a short walk way.

Then the adventure begins!
