Seasearch Adventure Snorkel

Koru Kayaking are hosting Cornwall Wildlife Trust's Seasearch Snorkel event.

Koru are providing all the equipment for kayaking including sit on top tandem Wilderness and Ocean Kayaks, paddles, 3/2 long or shorti wetsuits and booties and buoyancy aids.

You are welcome to bring your own drybags, water bottles and snacks although there are cafes at Trevaunance Cove where we will be launching.

Attendees should provide all of their own Seasearch snorkelling equipment.

We are thrilled to be hosting this event alongside seasearch as you kayak along the St Agnes Coastline there's archway's and caves carved out from the Cornish Mining era, colouful rock formations from the oxidised metals, and a whole host of birdlife on the rocks, including the sea birds guillemots and razorbills that roost here in May to July. Under the water there's pink mosses, Atlantic grey seals, blue star fish and some beautiful sponges.

You are to swim 25m

Moderate level of fitness we kayak between 3-5 miles

Swimwear

Wetsuit - we have 3/2 long and short wetsuits available if you don't have your own

Booties - we have some if you don't, good to protect your feet

Attendees should provide all of their own Seasearch snorkelling equipment.

Towel of changing robe so you can change on the beach or at the public toilets

Welcome to bring your own water bottles and drybags although there are cafes with refreshments available at the beach

Meet your guide at Koru Sign by the railings on the slipway to Trevaunance Cove (opposite The Aggie Beach Cafe)

Get sized up with wetsuits, booties and buoyancy aids with your guide.

Get changed into wetsuits if you haven't already done so.

Gather on the beach around the kayaks where your guide will give you a full briefing. Please ensure you are ready for this at least 10 minutes before your trip starts.

The shoresearch team will also give a briefing and sign disclaimers during this time.

Enjoy your adventure, your guide will take photos of you on the trip with your permission that you can buy, or we do have some phone cases you can hire.
