Guided Paddleboarding on the Helford River

Description

Cornwall Wildlife Trust has teamed up with Koru Kayaking, with one of their wildlife experts joining selected trips throughout the season. An optional discretionary donation to Cornwall Wildlife Trust is available.

Find out more at www.cornwallwildlifetrust.co.uk.

Your 2-hour guided paddleboarding experience begins with a short 10-minute briefing, covering balance, paddling technique and safety, so you can relax and enjoy the journey. You’ll then launch from the Budock Vean Hotel & Spa foreshore and glide along the tranquil Port Navas Creek.

Depending on conditions, your route may take you towards Grebe Beach, passing Helford Passage, Trebah and Glendurgan. Standing quietly on the board offers a unique perspective as you drift over seagrass beds and alongside Devonian slate, home to oysters, mussels and scallops.

Alternatively, you may paddle upriver to Frenchman’s Creek, exploring a historic shipwreck and travelling through North Atlantic temperate rainforest, rich in fish and birdlife.
