Adult Sailing Club - Self-led

This session is an opportunity for Adults (18+) to get together and work on improving their sailing skills.

An instructor will be on hand to help you setup your boat and give some hints and tips, safety cover will be provided but a dedicated instructor will not be on the water for entire session.

Sessions will take place on Saturdays from 13.00-15.30, weather dependent.

As a minimum requirement to attend this club we require you to have completed RYA Level 1 or equivalent. This equates to being able to sail across the wind, upwind, downwind, tack and gybe as well as recover a capsize. Feel free to give us a call on 01209 860301 to discuss if you are not quite sure of your ability or pop into the centre. We run taster sessions and Level 1 courses at the lake too.

Suitable for ages 17 +

Customer must be water confident wearing a buoyancy aid.

A digital disclaimer form must be completed for all participants before arrival

Buoyancy aids will be provided by us and must be worn correctly and always fastened when on the water (Customers may not wear their own buoyancy aid’s or helmets)

1. Suitable footwear which you don’t mind getting wet such as wetsuit shoes/boots, old trainers, beach shoes. Flip flops/crocs are not suitable.
2. Wetsuits are provided but you are also welcome to bring your own.

4. We also recommend bringing (as appropriate); waterproof coat, sun hat / cream, warm clothes.

On arrival head to the Activity Centre reception to check-in
