BKSA Senior Instructor course

Expand on the knowledge and skills learnt on your initial ITC and use your teaching experience to look onwards at the next step on the career ladder.

A BKSA Senior Instructor qualification allows you to expand your teaching ratio, qualifies you to run a BKSA recognised school and effectively run more advanced intermediate level sessions for students.

1. Valid BKSA Membership
2. BKSA Level 2 instructor
3. 200 hours of logged teaching hours in a BKSA recognised school
4. Minimum 2 yrs kiteboarding and 6 months/one season as a level 2 instructor
5. Have valid qualifications and be operating within the guidelines of the British Kitesports Association scheme.

You will need to bring suitable waterwear; wetsuits etc. Along with any kitesurf equipment you own.

Please also bring a notepad and pen for all classroom based theory.

Some of the content covered in this 2day course will include;

1. employing staff
2. safety management systems
3. running schools and the different types of course that can be run; Land based kite sports, water based, Instructor training, First Aid and Power boating etc.
4. how to run different level groups in different areas
5. manage beaches
6. deal with awkward customers and adverse weather effectively.
