Day 1 - Arrival

You will arrive at Marco Polo airport in Venice.

Your tour guide will pick you up and drive you to Bovec, a charming town in the Julian Alps of Slovenia. The journey takes about 2.5 hours and leads through beautiful mountain landscapes. After arrival, you will check-in at Vancar Apartments, we will have the afternoon to explore Bovec and enjoy our first lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant or local restaurant.

Day 2 - SUP on Lake Predil and Emerald Soca SUP tour

Meeting at 08:30

We will meet our tour guide in front of the Hotel and have a 5 minute drive to Bovec SUP base. We will collect all the necessary equipment for our first trip and start driving to the SUP location. The road goes through a mesmerizing mountain pass over bridges built by Napoleon, and you can spot various forts from WWI along the route. Our SUP location is Lake Predil, one km² alpine lake surrounded by breathtaking mountains. On tour, your guide will show you all the lake's hidden places and teach you the correct techniques of Stand up paddling. After this 3,5 h program, we will head back to Bovec, and after a short rest, we will take off to our afternoon program.

Meeting at 14:00

We will meet your tour guide in front of the Hotel and have a 5 minute drive to Bovec SUP base. We will collect all the necessary equipment for our second trip and start driving to the lower Soca Valley, Most na Soci, where we begin our paddling journey. In this tour, we will explore the Soca river's hidden gorges, jump off the cliffs, and relax our mind in this peaceful part of the river, far away from the crowds. On this tour, you will truly see why the Soca river is called Emerald river, and your guide can tell you the secret behind this mind blowing color. After the trip, we will drive back to the Hotel, and you will have time to rest or have a walk around Bovec before dinner.

Day 3 - Whitewater SUP

Meeting at 09:00

We will go together to the Bovec-SUP base and collect all the necessary equipment for our SUP trip. The drive to the starting point takes only about 3 minutes. Your tour guide will give you all the instructions about whitewater paddleboarding and teach you the basic paddling techniques. First, we will have a short practice in the calm part of the river, and then we will start our journey down the river. The river section has moderate and safe rapids and is perfect for the first whitewater SUP experience. You will spend around 2h on the river, including a short break to fill up energy. We will have a trip in two smaller groups for maximum safety and a great experience. After your trip, you will have free time to enjoy the surrounding nature the way you like.

Day 4 - SUP on the Weissensee in Austria

Meeting at 09:00

We will go together to the Bovec-SUP base and collect all the necessary equipment for our SUP trip. This day, we will travel a bit further, but it will definitely be worth it! From Bovec, we will drive about 1.5 hours to an Austrian Alpine lake called Weissensee. The lake lays on 930m elevation in between beautiful mountains and provides crystal clear turquoise water, which is drinking quality. The 11.6km length of the lake gives us a chance to paddle as far as we feel like.

Day 5 - Last day & flight back home

After the last delicious hotel breakfast, we have the option to add white water rafting on the Soca River or a hike to see the waterfalls on the Soca River.

Our guide will pick us up early afternoon and drive us to the Venice Airport.

To maximise our time in Slovenia we will all fly Ryanair from Bournemouth - Venice Marco Polo.

Bournemouth - Venice. Tuesday 07:30 - 10:40

Venice - Bournemouth. Saturday 19:05 - 20:25

For everyone's safety & enjoyment you must be able to confidently stand up paddleboard a minimum distance of 8km (which is very easy) and self rescue. Don't worry if you can't do this at the moment as we have plenty of time to teach you and you can practice paddling with us on our FREE Dorset SUP Paddleboarding Community weekly social Paddles.

Minimum age is 18 years of age.

You can bring your own wetsuits etc but full equipment (shoes, neoprenes, PFD, helmets) is provided.
