Description
Join us at SWAC for a week of fun and exciting three day course aimed at completing the RYA stage 2 course for students at King Edwards VI school that have learn to sail in the autumn term. SWAC is known for our emphasis on having fun while learning new skills, in the heart of Southampton.
What is it?
Our Active Sail courses are designed around the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme. We recognise that children learn differently and the course is designed to progress using a skill based approach. Our focus is to develop confidence ability to sail a small single handed dinghy.
We teach at a ratio of 6:1 meaning children are well supervised and receive specific feedback to make sure they enjoy mastering the sport. Children can expect to sail a boat on their own, or with a friend.
