Description
£200 per boat not per person.
Each Island on Loch Lomond has its own story to tell and what better way to discover them than by speedboat? From ancient castles and clan burial grounds to beautiful woodland walks and stunning view points...even a pub, all the islands have something to offer!
The 2 hour tour includes the highlights of the south end of the loch and allows an hour to spend exploring Inchcailloch or Inchmurrin Islands. If it's history and culture you're after then a walk to the ruined church and burial ground then on to the view point at the top of the hill on Inchcailloch is a must. If you'd rather relax and just take in the fabulous views then a visit to the pub on Inchmurrin Island is for you. You can also take a short walk over the hill to the ruins of Lennox Castle.
Requirements
After arriving at Portnellan Farm there will be a short walk of about 100m to the jetty. You will need to be able to step down from the jetty onto the boat, this can be quite a big step if the loch is low however most people manage without any problems.
Exploring the island can be as relaxed as you want, you can take it at your own pace. If you want to make it to the ruined church you will need to walk fairly quickly.
