The First SUP // RUN // Adventure in the Broads National Park!

What better way is there to see this totally amazing environment other then right down on the water and exploring lands stunning landscapes that surround it by SUP and by foot!

This is an amazing session for those who like a little more ‘Oomph' in their exploration of new places by means of paddling the waterways by SUP and then swapping the paddle for Trail Running shoes and heading out to explore the nearby coastline and it's stunning beaches!

This session will start at our base on exploration SUPs and will traverse a route accompanied by your guide, covering around 5 miles (9km) and paddling through some of the most protected wetlands in the entirety of Europe. Then when we reach our transition point you'll swap your paddles for Trail Running shoes and head off for a guided run of approximately 7 miles (11km) through the remaining wetlands and onto and along the beautiful nearby and award winning beaches!

You'll stop off by the river bank after the run element for lunch (not currently supplied due to COVID) before heading back off on foot to become reunited with your SUPs and start the 5 mile journey back to base.

This is where you can finally rest knowing that you'll have just covered around 17 miles on water and foot!

    What to bring
    1. Parking is anywhere in the car park at NOA HQ and Pleasure Boat Inn pub

    1. Toilet and changing facilities are currently unavailable due to COVID-19 (and vandalism sadly).

    1. It’s advisable to bring a few changes of sports type clothing to wear during both activites - to suit both paddling and running. Shoe wise - wet shoes or barefoot for paddling and anything goes for the running element, but if you have Trail shoes then these will be excellent.

    1. Time out actually on the session will be around the 5 hour mark, so make sure you bring some food and snacks to keep you going and expecially if you have any intollorences or are vegan - SUP and Run sessions can be tiring, especially when you've not been on a board for a while!

    1. Please note that cameras are welcome but please make sure it's of a waterproof variety (waterproof phones or GoPro type of action camera in waterproof housing etc should be fine but don’t drop them!) or if you do make sure it's tied on to your body somewhere!

    1. Your instructor/guide will however be equipped with a waterproof camera and will happily take photos of before and after of you enjoying your adventure.

    1. If you wear glasses or want to look uber cool in pictures in your sunglasses, please remember that if you head for a swim they may get dislodged from your head, so please remember to tie or secure them on in place. If needed you can purchase a 'Croakie' from us to ensure that the cool shades don't end up looking better on a fish than you!
