    KAYAK TOURS

    The guided tour is a 1.5hr exploration around the picturesque coast of Thanet and the surrounding area. Enjoy the scenery while in the safe hands of our instructors. REMEMBER THIS IS NOT A LESSON ON HOW TO USE A KAYAK

    We can’t guarantee weather or surf conditions if on the day the activity has to be cancelled we will do our best to reschedule or give you credit voucher

    This activity is not suitable for anyone who suffers from motion or sea sickness.

    Requirements
    1. All participants must be able to swim at least 50 metres and should, under no circumstances, be under the influence of any alcohol, drugs or medication at the time of the lesson which may adversely affect their physical capabilities.
    2. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PADDLE A KAYAK BEFORE YOU BOOK
    3. All participants suffering any physical or medical conditions, illnesses or allergies, including any prescribed medications, should make us aware of any such conditions or requirements prior to the event.
    4. No-one should participate in any lesson if they are pregnant or suffering from a heart condition.
    5. Motion sickness if you suffer from sea sickness this is not advisable activity to do.


    What to bring
    1. 'Slim-fit'/Lycra swimwear, to be worn underneath the wetsuit (i.e., no 'baggy' shorts)
    2. Towel
    3. Bottle of water
    4. Sun cream
    Itinerary
    1. Meet & greet your selected instructor
    2. Allocation of equipment, wetsuit and life jacket
    3. A full 2 hour supervised lesson / Tour
    4. Assessment of ocean conditions
    5. Beach safety introduction
    6. Introduction to equipment and safe handling techniques
    7. Introduction to paddling
    8. Transitioning to paddling out , accelerating and stopping/falling safely
    9. Applying newly-developed skills and tour around the coast.
    10. Session debrief
