2 Hour Paddle Board Taster

sup - Up to 16 people

SUP (stand up paddle boarding) is an exciting alternative for water lovers who are looking for a new thrill. You propel yourself on a large stable board in the water and use the paddle to propel yourself forward (or backwards!) & steer. It takes some practice, but under our expert guidance you will get the hang of balancing on the board and perfect your paddling technique in no time at all. We run a 2 hour group intro session which consists of 1 hour coaching with 1 hour free hire afterwards or if you prefer you can stay with your instructor and take a tour of the beautiful harbour.

This activity takes place in Beautiful Bosham near Chichester between the hours of 8am and 8pm with the session start time being dictated by the tide (as we try to choose the best tidal conditions for your session) We provide all the necessary equipment and expert tuition apart from wetsuits (which can be hired from us if needed). After you have booked all you need do is turn up & be able-bodied, and able to swim 50m to participate. Please Note: If anyone is under 18 but over 8 all we ask is that a parent or guardian accompany them ( no under 8's sorry ). If a child is considered not strong enough to manage their paddle board we may ask that they share the instructor's or parents paddle board. Meeting Point: We meet in Bosham Pay & Display Car Park which is just 5 mins walk from where we enter the water near the Shoreside Cafe in Bosham at the corner of Bosham Lane and Shore Road. There are toilets within the car park to get changed if you need to. To find us look out for a big red transit van, we are usually situated at the rear of the car park, in the over spill area.

What to bring

Water, towel, hat, sun cream, sun glasses plus a wet suit if you have one and shoes you don't mind getting wet (if you don't have a wetsuit we can hire you one)

You must be over 8 years old accompanied by a parent or guardian if under 18 and able bodied and able to swim 50m to participate in this activity.

We start off with a lesson & games in the basics of paddle boarding (for 1 hour) with a qualified instructor before then allowing you to have 1 hour of FREE paddle board hour under your own supervision ensuring that you return to the start point once you have finished.
