BSUPA ‘Ready to Ride’ SUP Group Sessions at the Trifarm swimming lake

Hello! These fantastic BSUPA Level 1 ‘Ready to Ride’ certificated group SUP sessions at the Trifarm swimming lake in Boreham are suitable for those who are completely new to SUP or have SUPed before but have not yet received the BSUPA Level 1 ‘Ready to Ride’ skills/competency certificate. (BSUPA is the British Stand Up Paddle Association.)

You must be a competent swimmer and able to swim at least 25m clothed.

Children aged 11yrs-17yrs can participate as long as a parent or legal guardian is booked into the session, paddling with them and supervising them at all times, on a 1:2:1 basis (i.e. one child per parent/legal guardian.) *If you have 2 children & only one parent/legal guardian, please email us info@frangipanisup.com or call us on 07597 094233 to discuss before making your booking, thank you. It MUST be their parent or legal guardian paddling with the child, no one else, thank you.

You will be using our SUP kit, buoyancy aids and high vis rash vests.

If you weigh more than 16 stones/100kg, please email us & tell us what you weigh as SUP board sizes vary on paddler weight, thank you.

Please bring with you:

A towel, swimwear, dry/warm clothes to change into,

A wetsuit. We have adult wetsuits you can hire for £5 per person - please add it to your booking at check out.

Paddling footwear such as neoprene wet shoes or old trainers.

Water, any snacks you need, old sun cap, sun cream, glasses safety strap*, any necessary medications* and bug spray* (*As required by you.)  

Please do not bring with you any valuables (money, jewellery, posh watches, designer sunglasses, electronics etc.)

Before you leave home, please make sure you & everyone in your booking has signed the on-line waiver and answered the important online medical and safety questions. Please cover any cuts & grazes with strong waterproof plasters. Please read the safety page on our website for more information.

On arrival please drive a little way down the track and then take the left fork up the slope & park in the car park. We'll meet you at the picnic tables by the office cabin. Please don't arrive any earlier than the start time of your booking as we will be busy getting ready. Thank you.

There is a changing cabin and a port-a-loo on site & hot/cold drinks & delicious homemade cakes are usually available for purchase after the session at the Trifarm office cabin!

You are going to have a great time learning this exciting & fun new sport with us at this beautiful water tested, life-guarded swimming lake. We can't wait to meet you :)
