Trifarm SUPSkillz (NOT beginners)

sup - Up to 6 people

Description

These SUP Skillz sessions will be with a BSUPA Level 2 Instructor or a BSUPA Trainer, at the beautiful Trifarm swimming lake in Boreham.

Bring your own board and paddle (£35) or use ours (£50) To use ours, you must select it in the options in the booking process.

These very small group sessions are suitable for all levels of confident paddlers (but not complete Beginners) including those who have just bought a SUP board and who can stand up and paddle on it competently but need to get better and practice, or for those who want to practice, brush up on technique, practice step-back buoy turning, or practice self rescue - or those wanting to develop their stroke technique at this beautiful water-tested swimming lake.

Sessions are approx. 2 hrs long, with advance bookings and online payments required. Please see the link below.

There are quite a few important safety considerations and Covid-19 alert rules/procedures that we all need to follow. Here they are:

1 - You must be a competent swimmer able to swim at least 25m clothed and be aged over 18 years. (An 11yr-17yr old child can attend the session with their parent or legal guardian paddling with them & supervising them at all times, on a 1 child to 1 parent/legal guardian ratio.)

2 - You must have stand up paddled with confidence before and have a BSUPA level 1 'Ready to Ride' certificate or equivalent. If you can't stand up paddle with confidence please don't sign up for this session, but rather book yourself onto one of our excellent Ready to Ride Beginners sessions and get your BSUPA level 1 'Ready to Ride' certificate! If you can stand up paddle with confidence and you don’t have a BSUPA level 1 'Ready to Ride' certificate or equivalent, please call us 07597 094233 or email us info@frangipanisup.com to discuss before making your booking. Thanks.

3 - The Government's social distance rules must always be maintained by everyone, although you must accept that in the unlikely event of an emergency, we and possibly others may break the social distance rules to assist you.

4 - Here’s what you must bring with you:

-Your SUP board/paddle if you have one, a towel, all paddling clothing (a wetsuit is sensible unless it's really hot) plus paddling footwear such as wetsuit shoes or old trainers (footwear is mandatory).

-A small dry bag to carry on the board. Make sure you have own cargo straps if using your own board.

-A small personal outdoor first aid kit plus personal hand sanitising gel one per household group and be prepared to administer first aid to yourselves.

-Water, any snacks you need, old baseball hat/visor*, glasses safety strap*, sun cream* any necessary medications* and bug spray.* (*As required by you.)

5 - Please don’t bring any valuables (money, jewellery, posh watches, designer sunglasses, electronics etc.)

6 - Before you leave home, please cover any cuts & grazes with strong waterproof plasters.

7 - On arrival on the site, please drive along the track and take the left fork up the little slope to the car park.

8 - When you park your car, please leave plenty of space between yours and any other cars. Your Instructor will meet you in the car park.

9 - The changing rooms are closed so you will need to get changed in your car. There is a port-a-loo on site with gel sanitisers.

10 - Please get all your kit ready in the car park and then your Instructor will show you where to walk, so that you can carry all your own kit to the lake’s edge. Sorry but we can’t touch or carry your kit for you.

11 - Bring a little cash for hot drinks/cakes afterwards at the portacabin cafe!

WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A GREAT TIME! :)

Drop us an email at info@frangipanisup.com if you have any questions.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel and want a refund, please give us more than 48 hours notice from the start time of your booked session. (Or 7 days for the BSUPA Level 1 Instructor course.)

Although we hope you don't need to cancel your booking, you can do so at any time up to 48 hours prior the start time of the booked SUP activity and receive a full refund. If you cancel within 48 hours of the start time of the booked SUP activity, or you are very late for or do not attend the booked SUP activity (i.e. a ‘no-show’) you will not receive a refund. If you are booking on the BSUPA Level 1 Instructor course, less than 7 full day’s notice of a cancellation will mean that you won’t get a refund and this clause supersedes any minimum cancellation notice notified elsewhere in the booking process and/or in the terms and conditions.
