BSUPA Level 2 Ready to Tour Course

sup - Up to 5 people

Description

Lead by BSUPA Level 2 Instructors, this one-day certified BSUPA Level 2 'Ready to Tour' course is ideal for adults who are paddling competently on their own SUP board and who want to extend their horizons.

The morning will be spent learning about the theory, planning and safety considerations of going SUP exploring; such as equipment, different types of paddling locations, tides, basic navigation and writing a Tour Plan.

The price includes a professionally catered sandwich lunch and hot drinks.

Then we will head out onto the water for you to complete the approximate 1.5-2hrs tidal explore, that you planned earlier.

The successful completion of both the theory and paddle elements of the day will result in you gaining the BSUPA Level 2 'Ready to Tour' certificate.

We are running this course at a private location on the Blackwater Estuary (within about a 20 minute drive from Maldon). You will only be advised of the details once you have booked and paid for your place on the course.

You must be able to swim, be a competent paddler with your own board (or book to use ours as an optional extra at checkout) and suitable clothing, and have your BSUPA Level 1 'Ready to Ride' certificate or equivalent, as a prerequisite for this course. However, if you don't have this certificate but are a competent paddler, please call Anni to discuss on 07597 094233 prior to making your booking, thank you.

You can bring your own SUP board with third party insurance (you could join BSUPA for insurance), paddle, fin, leash etc. own personal buoyancy aid (PBA) or personal flotation device (PDF) or book to use ours - choose it as an optional extra at checkout. You will need to bring and carry your own small dry bag (you'll need cargo straps on your board or a backpack version if not) with an energy snack, water, a small first aid kit, any medications you may need, plus your phone in a waterproof case. You will need to bring/wear clothes for an approx. 1.5 -2 hrs paddle on the estuary, so you need to carefully check the weather forecast beforehand and consider wind chill and the possibility of getting wet (rain or involuntary dismount!) i.e. layers, waterproofs, a sunhat/sun cream etc. You must bring and wear appropriate footwear, no bare feet please. Any kit questions or concerns, please email us at info@frangipanisup.com

£70pp includes course manual/materials, professional catered sandwich lunch, hot drinks and parking. Over 18 years only.
