These Covid-19 alert 1:2:1 SUPSkillz skills sessions will be with a BSUPA Level 2 Instructor or a BSUPA Trainer, at the Trifarm swimming lake in Boreham.

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings 5pm-8pm by prior arrangement.

They are suitable for all levels of stand up paddler with their BSUPA Level 1 Ready to Ride* certificate or equivalent (i.e. not beginners) including those who want to progress their paddling, improve their confidence, brush up on specific technique or prepare for the Level 1 Instructors course - all at this beautiful water-tested, life-guarded swimming lake.

Session are 3 hrs long from gate arrival to gate departure and cost £80 per person, with advance bookings and online payments required.

There are quite a few important Covid-19 alert rules and procedures that we all need to follow. Here they are:

1 - You must be a competent swimmer able to swim at least 25m clothed and be aged over 18 years.

2 - You must bring your own SUP board, paddle leash & Personal Buoyancy Aid. If you don't have your own board please call us to discuss on 07597 094233.

3 - You must follow the government's Covid rules and guidance & you must accept that in the unlikely event of an emergency, we and possibly others may break social distancing rules to assist you.

4 - Here’s what you must bring with you:

A SUP board with cargo straps, fin + fittings, appropriate leash, pump + fittings (if it’s an iSUP) which has third party insurance (you could join BSUPA to obtain insurance) unless you are booked to use ours.

  1. A well-fitting personal buoyancy aid, unless you are using our SUP board, in which case we will provide you with one.
  2. A towel, all water temperature appropriate clothing and paddling footwear (footwear is mandatory),
  3. A small dry bag to carry on your board using your own cargo straps,
  4. A small personal outdoor first aid kit plus personal hand sanitising gel and be prepared to administer first aid to yourself,
  5. Water, any snacks you need, hat/visor*, glasses safety strap*, any necessary medications* and bug spray.* (*As required by you.)  

5 - Please don’t bring any valuables (money, jewellery, posh watches, designer sunglasses, electronics etc.)

6 - Before you leave home, please cover any cuts & grazes with strong waterproof plasters.

7 - The main gate will be unlocked at the start time of your session. PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY.

8 - When you park your car, please leave plenty of space between yours and any other cars. Your Instructor will meet you in the car park.

9 - The changing rooms are closed so you will need to get changed in your car. There is a port-a-loo on site with gel sanitisers.

10- Please get all your kit ready in the car park and then your Instructor will show you where to walk, so that you can carry all your own kit to the lake’s edge.

Requirements

Must be able to swim 25m clothed, be over 18, have the BSUPA Level 1 Ready to Ride certificate (or equivalent).





Cancellations

If you need to cancel and want a refund, please give us more than 48 hours notice from the start time of your booked session. (Or 7 days for the BSUPA Level 1 Instructor course.)

Although we hope you don't need to cancel your booking, you can do so at any time up to 48 hours prior the start time of the booked SUP activity and receive a full refund. If you cancel within 48 hours of the start time of the booked SUP activity, or you are very late for or do not attend the booked SUP activity (i.e. a ‘no-show’) you will not receive a refund. If you are booking on the BSUPA Level 1 Instructor course, less than 7 full day’s notice of a cancellation will mean that you won’t get a refund and this clause supersedes any minimum cancellation notice notified elsewhere in the booking process and/or in the terms and conditions.
