1:2:1 SUPSkillz

Boreham
sup - Up to 2 people

Description

These Covid-19 alert 1:2:1 SUPSkillz skills sessions will be with a BSUPA Level 2 Instructor or a BSUPA Trainer, at the Trifarm swimming lake in Boreham.

They are suitable for all levels of stand up paddler with their BSUPA Level 1 Ready to Ride* certificate or equivalent (i.e. not beginners) including those who want to progress their paddling, improve their confidence, brush up on specific technique or prepare for the Level 1 Instructors course - all at this beautiful water-tested, life-guarded swimming lake.

Session are 2.5 hrs long from gate arrival to gate departure and cost £55 per person, with advance bookings and online payments required.

*Our Ready to Ride courses restart on May 2nd 2021.

There are quite a few important Covid-19 alert rules and procedures that we all need to follow. Here they are:

1 - You must be a competent swimmer able to swim at least 25m clothed and be aged over 18 years.

2 - For the initial sessions in April, you must bring with you ALL your own SUP kit, equipment and clothing as you won’t be able to use any of ours. (i.e. you must be fully self-sufficient on the kit, equipment and clothing front. The water is COLD so you need to dress appropriately in a suitable wetsuit/dry suit.)

Sorry if this means you can’t join these initial sessions. We plan to open up sessions in May to those who have paddled before but who don’t have all their own SUP kit - and then eventually to complete beginners, as the water warms up. Please also keep an eye on our website and our social media for updates. Thank you.

3 - A strict 2m social distance must always be maintained by everyone, although you must accept that in the unlikely event of an emergency, we and possibly others may break the 2m rule to assist you.

4 - Here’s what you must bring with you:

  1. SUP board with cargo straps, fin + fittings, appropriate leash, pump + fittings (if it’s an iSUP) and your paddle,
  2. A well-fitting personal buoyancy aid of at least 50 newtons
  3. A towel, all water temperature appropriate clothing and paddling footwear (footwear is mandatory),
  4. A small dry bag to carry on your board using your own cargo straps,
  5. A small personal outdoor first aid kit plus personal hand sanitising gel and be prepared to administer first aid to yourself.
  6. Water, any snacks you need, hat/visor*, glasses safety strap*, any necessary medications* and bug spray.* (*As required by you.)

5 - Please don’t bring any valuables (money, jewellery, posh watches, designer sunglasses, electronics etc.)

6 - Before you leave home, please cover any cuts & grazes with strong waterproof plasters.

7 - The main gate will be unlocked at 5pm. PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE BEFORE 5pm as there is no where to park on the road.

8 - When you park your car, please leave plenty of space between yours and any other cars. Your Instructor will meet you in the car park.

9 - The changing rooms are closed so you will need to get changed in your car. There is a port-a-loo on site with gel sanitisers.

10- Please get all your kit ready in the car park and then your Instructor will show you where to walk, so that you can carry all your own kit to the lake’s edge. Sorry but we can’t touch or carry your kit for you, or help you to fasten any wetsuit zips.

Phew! And then we can HAVE A GREAT TIME! :)

Drop us an email at info@frangipanisup.com if you have any questions.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel and want a refund, please give us more than 48 hours notice from the start time of your booked session. (Or 7 days for the BSUPA Level 1 Instructor course.)

Although we hope you don't need to cancel your booking, you can do so at any time up to 48 hours prior the start time of the booked SUP activity and receive a full refund. If you cancel within 48 hours of the start time of the booked SUP activity, or you are very late for or do not attend the booked SUP activity (i.e. a ‘no-show’) you will not receive a refund. If you are booking on the BSUPA Level 1 Instructor course, less than 7 full day’s notice of a cancellation will mean that you won’t get a refund and this clause supersedes any minimum cancellation notice notified elsewhere in the booking process and/or in the terms and conditions. Thanks for your understanding.
