Description

Advanced Powerboat Course

Candidates should be competent to the standard of the Intermediate Powerboat Certificate with a thorough knowledge of navigation and chart work to the level of the Coastal Skipper/RYA Yachtmaster Shorebased certificate. It is strongly recommended that candidates hold a first aid certificate and a VHF operator’s certificate.

What to bring

Lunch/Dinner will not be provided, so please either bring your own food or you can drive/walk to the shops at lunchtime.

Please bring the appropriate clothing as we unfortunately cannot supply these items. Drysuits/foul weather gear is recommended, with boots or shoes you don’t mind getting wet. It is also a good idea to bring dry clothes to go home in just in case.

Please also remember sun cream, hats and sunglasses when appropriate, and plenty of warm clothing.

Lifejackets with lights will be provided.

On successful completion of the course the certificates require 1 passport photograph so please ensure you bring one with you. We cannot issue certificates without a photo.
