  • Description

Sea kayaking session run at Port Quin North Cornwall.

Ages 12 and up (under 16's must be accompanied by an adult)

Moderate level of fitness required for this session.

These sessions are planned on or around the high tide if possible.

we provide wetsuits and all essential safety kit along with a qualified and very experienced local guide who has grown up in or a few miles away from this location.

We start off by going over the basics, then explore Port Quin harbour, its caves and harbour mouth areas. If its calm we will go on a further journey, if its windy or rough we will use the features of Port Quin to offer more skills training or some fun challenges. Either way a great fun couple of hours guaranteed!

We usually see plenty of bird life such as Oyster catchers, Turnstones, Gannets and cormorants. Sometimes we are lucky enough to see seals, sunfish, dolphins and even basking sharks!

Sam and Archie also have an intricate knowledge of the Geology and History of the amazing coastline, which has been shaped by natural forces and mined through the ages for precious metals and minerals.

We always use double kayaks unless there is an odd number in your group. £40/person in double kayaks £55/person if using a single in an odd numbered group in peak seasons.

We can provide wetsuits if you do not have your own. We recommend bringing old trainers or suitable waterproof footwear.
