ADVENTURE TRIPS

5 hour Trip from Avon Valley - Adults £50 pp, Children 16 yrs and under £35 pp

Join us for what is simply a fabulous 5-hour round trip along the River Avon on-board one of our amazing Katakanus.

With seating for up to 6 people and a maximum load capacity of 450 kg, Katakanu is a revolutionary kayak encapsulating 800 litres of air, allowing you to stay high and dry all year round.

You’ll set out from Avon valley Adventure & Wildlife Park and be guided by one of our qualified instructors, learning to paddle as a team as you head firstly towards Swineford Lock.

At Swineford you’ll learn to safely operate and then navigate the lock system before continuing your journey towards Saltford Lock.

Once safely moored at Saltford lock, relax and enjoy your picnic while you take in the breathtaking scenery around you.

After you’ve re-fueled, it’s time to head back.

En-route you will once again navigate the lock system at Swineford before ending your Adventure paddle at Avon Valley.

Along the route, keep a watchful eye out for some of our local residents such as swans, kingfishers, herons, cormorants, ducks, woodpeckers, geese, dragonflies, damselflies, falcons and even a rather shy pair of otters!

To discuss this or any other of our Adventure or Wildlife trips, please feel free to contact us.
