  • Description

A tour of the famous Blackpool Illuminations aboard the Illuminated Frigate tram. The tour lasts approximately an hour. The tour time shown is the start and end of boarding.

Note: There is only one Frigate tram. If this tram should be unavailable and there is no other illuminated tram to replace it, we will substitute a non-illuminated single-deck tram such as a Brush Railcoach or Centenary car

Boarding at Pleasure Beach Heritage Tram Stop, the tram heads north along the Promenade past the thousands of twinkling lights, all three piers and The Tower along the Golden Mile. It then continues along the North Shore promenade to the illuminated and animated tableaux between Cabin and Bispham.

Going forward to Little Bispham it then turns south and travels all the way back to the Pleasure Beach where you first boarded. If were on the sea-side on the way north, you will be on the road-side on the return and so miss nothing of the spectacle.

This is not a hop-on-hop-off tour. If you don't wish to stay with us to the end of the tour at Pleasure Beach, you can leave us at Bispham, Cabin or North Pier & Tower Heritage stops. If you leave, that is then the end of your tour. You will not be able to continue your tour on a later tram.

The tour takes around an hour but as it takes place on the public tramway on the busy Promenade which can affect the overall time,.
