This sociable and fun one way SUP trip starts in Richmond near The White Cross. Taking advantage of the outgoing tide, you will paddle down river past Old Isleworth, Soon Park and Kew Gardens, before reaching The Ship at Mortlake, our final destination.
Whether you’ve only just completed a SUP Wise course, or are a seasoned pro, this easy-going trip is suitable for you. Our friendly instructors will provide all the kit and take you through the basics before you cast away on your adventure.
Head torches and bright, high visibility clothing are a must for these trips.
Most people wear board shorts / swimming shorts, running tights or leggings and a t-shirt.
Bright, high visibility clothing is best for We provide a PFD (personal floatation device) for each of you which must be worn on our evening trips. You must have footwear with you that you don’t mind getting wet. Wetsuit shoes are ideal, flip flops can also work (wear them to carry the board into the water and then tuck them under the elastic on the board or clip them to your leash).
It is a good idea to bring a bottle of drinking water to take with you as well as some money for the stop at a river side pub. Spare clothes and a towel are also recommended as is a change of footwear because your feet are very likely to get wet.
Meeting at Friars Style Car Park, you'll help to get the. boards ready and pack your dry-bag, before heading to Cholmondeley Walk for a brief lesson.
Launching, we'll head down river past Soon Park and Kew Gardens, before reaching Mortlake.
