Cast off, get fit and discover water-bound adventure on the doorstep. Our stand up paddleboarding sessions are a unique and sociable way to leave city life behind and explore the beautiful backwaters around London. Soak up the serenity of sunrise and early sun.
We'll be heading for the the Flying Cloud Cafe to hopefully stop for something to drink, before returning to River Lane.
Easy to get grips with, and great for your core muscles, stand up paddleboarding is the perfect self-propelled excursion along the River Thames. Whether you’ve never dipped a paddle in the water before, or want to improve your skills under the wing of our expert instructors, we’ve got a range of stand up paddleboarding trips and courses for all abilities.
Most people wear board shorts / swimming shorts, running tights or leggings and a t-shirt. We have long sleeved rash vests for you to wear and provide a PFD (personal floatation device) for each of you if needed. You must have footwear with you that you don’t mind getting wet. Wetsuit shoes are ideal, flip flops can also work (wear them to carry the board into the water and then tuck them under the elastic on the board or clip them to your leash).
If it is particularly sunny, it is recommended that you wear sun-cream and a hat. Sunglasses are also good. Be aware that can they sink quickly.
It is a good idea to bring a bottle of drinking water to take with you as well as some money (you may well stop at a river side cafe). Spare clothes and a towel are also recommended as is a change of footwear because your feet are very likely to get wet.
Full refund if cancelled 7 days or more prior to the activity.
