Family Canoe Camp

camp - Up to 12 people

Our Family Canoe Camp takes place on the banks of the River Medway in the south of England, surrounded by lovely scenery and historic oust houses.

Activities include open canoeing, wild swimming, shelter building, firelighting, backwoods cooking and a moonlit paddle.

This is a 2-day guided river descent (including overnight bivouac) navigating the Medway's very own 'rapids'. It is a really memorable experience for families to share together.

All activities are led by our experienced team, who have worked in the area for over 10 years. They will build your confidence and ensure safety without compromising the thrills.

With a select number of families per camp, this riverside adventure is the perfect chance to reconnect with your family and to form friendships with like-minded adventurers.

All meals + wine with dinner included in the price so you can fully relax after a hard day's adventuring

This is a one way trip starting in Tonbridge and finishing in Yalding, so please take that into account when planning your travel.

What to bring

For a guide as to what to bring, click here.

Most people wear what they would wear for sports (shorts, running tights or leggings and a t-shirt) or what they might wear for a walk in the country (not denim). We provide a PFD (personal floatation device) for each of you.

If it is particularly sunny, it is recommended that you wear sun-cream and a hat. Sunglasses are also good. Be aware that can they sink quickly... so do not bring your best pair.

If there is a chance of rain, then please bring your waterproof jackets etc.

Children and young people should be strong enough to paddle for approximately 6km on day 1 and 5.5km on day 2

You should be confident on and around water, but you do not need to be able to swim. If this is the case do let us know on the night if you are a weak or non swimmer so that we're aware of it.
