Abseiling

Isle of Anglesey
abseil - Up to 6 people

Description

It’s big, 120 foot (40m) of vertical rock face beneath you! Do you have what it takes to lean back, commit to it and control your own descent down the massive cliff face?

We meet at the venue for the abseil.

We allocate 10 mins per person for the abseil, or an overall time for a group (6 people get an hour for example), this means that usually there is time for a few go's 'off the edge'!

Minimum participation age is 8 years, but this would be for very daring 8-year-olds. All under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.

Please contact us on 01407 769351 if you are not able to make the booking through this service or to arrange group bookings

What to bring

THE KIT YOU NEED:

We will provide the key safety items; the helmets and harnesses. You will need to prepare yourself with the following:

  1. Trainers or boots on your feet. Any shoe must cover the whole foot (i.e. not sandals or similar), mustn’t be able to fall off (like crocs) and they will need to have a flattish sole (not stilettos or high heels of any sort).
  2. Flexible clothing, anything that’s not restrictive is good.
  3. Warm and windproof clothing, sometimes…. This is of course based on the weather, if there is a bit of a breeze a blowin’ then it could get chilly so have full length clothing and a jacket of some sort. If it’s raining you’ll need to put waterproofs on to keep dry, thankfully the rain doesn’t really effect the activity.
  4. Suncream and any medication you might generally carry.

Requirements

Minimum participation age is 8 years, but this would be for very daring 8-year-olds.

All participants must complete one of our Medical and Consent Forms prior to activity. The form is available to download at www.angleseyactivities.co.uk/medical-form.html

Please complete this and bring it with you. For under 18’s this form MUST be completed by a PARENT or LEGAL GUARDIAN only, failure to do so will result in the under 18-year-old being denied participation.

Please distribute this form amongst all people in your group.

About this business

Where we'll meet

The abseil is located at the Breakwater Country Park, Holyhead. On arrival at the park walk to the café, the abseil is the big cliff to the left of the café as you look at it! The walk up takes 5 minutes, and goes up to the left of the abseil on the public footpath sign South Stack
