  • Description

SUP with Ana and Nordic Walking Tonbridge(run by Josine) are excited to bring you an “Experience Day” of Nordic Walking and Stand Up Paddleboarding together with a few seasonal refreshments and of course wonderful chat with likeminded people!

For those new to Nordic Walking - Josine will provide the poles and give some basic tuition on how to use them correctly. If you enjoy it, we can arrange a separate induction session (at a discounted cost) where Josine can teach you the full technique.

Meet at 10:30-10.45 for a prompt 11am start and after a brief warm up and introduction, we will head off for a Nordic Walk and Josine will teach you all the skills you need along the way. You will learn how Nordic Walking will “turn your walk into a workout” burning more calories than normal walking and toning your upper and lower body while at the same time being gentle on the joints! Josine will have poles for you .

We will return to base at around 12:30 for lunch (please bring a packed lunch and a camping chair ) and we will provide light refreshments– tea, coffee, hot chocolate and snacks and Nordic Cake .We will get ready for a SUP lesson on beautiful River Medway just after when Ana will talk you through safety briefing before jumping onto board and either learning to stand up or working on acquired skills finishing by 15.30pm .

This is a rare event in the Kent area and gives you the chance to experience something a bit different and fun in a relaxed environment. The aim is that you go home invigorated and refreshed (and with some new skills) having spent the day outdoors with fun, likeminded people!

Pre-booking is required and spaces are limited to 6.
