Be Richmond Get On Board Registration

Greater London
sup - Up to 300 people

Welcome to Get on Board 2020, which this year takes place on Friday 26th June 2020. You'll be paddling from Kew Bridge to River Lane, Richmond collecting plastic from the river along the way.

The main aims of Get on Board 2020 are to highlight the problem of plastic pollution in our waterways, and to be the world's largest community river clean-up.

It’s also about building on the success of last year and creating a great Richmond community event involving residents, businesses, workers and charities both on the water and on the towpath.

Your fee includes entrance to the event, plus entrance to this year's after party.

If you are renting a board and have not paddled with an Active360 company before, then you must sign-up at the beginners’ price of £34. You must then book and take a two-hour paddle board lesson with Active360 at either their Richmond, or Kew Bridge sites at the specially subsidised BeRichmond price of £1. These sessions are a great introduction to paddling, and are usually charged at £59! Once you have signed up you will be sent booking information for one of these sessions.

Returning Paddlers Hiring a Board

If you have paddled on the Thames with an Active360 company before, but you need to rent a board on the day, then you can sign up as a returning paddler for £25.

Returning Paddlers with Own Board

For those who have their own kit/board and who want to take part in the event you can sign up for £20.

NB please don't be confused by the term ‘Add-ons’ (it’s part of the booking system and something we can’t change). For this event, the ‘Add-ons’ are actually discounts

What to bring

No specialist clothing is required. In warm weather, ordinary gym gear will be fine (shorts/leggings/T-shirt/sweatshirt), with old sandals or trainers you don't mind getting wet. Or you can get cheap neoprene wet shoes from most large supermarkets. No bare feet please, footwear is required at all our SUP locations.

Please don't forget sun protection!

If you are bringing your own kit then you must paddle in a PFD/Buoyancy Aid). All paddlers on Port of London Authority water are required to wear a personal flotation device.
