This session is only for returning Active 360 paddlers! If you are comfortable on a board and would like to paddle with less restrictions and a bit further than our standard SUP trips. Must have completed at least one Active 360 session in any of our locations before joining this trip. If not you can join any of our other trips to get a bit more confidence before joining a SUP London session. This is a 4hr -4.5hr trip depending on how fast we paddle and how long we stop for.
No specialist clothing is required. In warm weather, ordinary gym gear will be fine (shorts/leggings/T-shirt/sweatshirt), with old sandals or trainers you don't mind getting wet. Or you can get cheap neoprene wet shoes from most large supermarkets. No bare feet, footwear is required at all our SUP locations.
In colder weather (November - March), a wetsuit would be advisory. We have wetsuits available if requested in advance. Always bring a towel and a change of clothes just in case you take a little dip during the SUP lesson.
Water and a pack lunch or money for refreshments are advised for this trip.
Only for confident paddlers!
You do not need to be a proficient swimmer, but should be comfortable about falling into water while wearing a buoyancy aid.
You will need to shower / wash thoroughly after the session if you have fallen in or been splashed and need to ensure any open cuts are covered.
We will also need to know of any recent injuries prior to the sess
We will start in Paddington basin with a short safety briefing and then heading to Kings Cross (via Regents Canal) where we will stop for a snack break. Its roughly a 15k paddle and We have to portage 4 locks each way.
