  • Join us for our seasonal Santa SUP!

    Description

Join us for our annual Christmas Santa SUP at Kew Bridge! We will be starting at our base with mulled wine, Baileys hot chocolate and mince pies. We will then paddle up to Richmond with the end of the Flood tide. After a stop at the White Cross pub in Richmond we will ride back with the start of the ebb tide. This paddle is for club members and confident returning paddlers only! The session will start with a safety briefing before heading out on the water.

    Weather conditions

Whilst we endeavour to carry out our SUP sessions, minimum numbers, instructor availability and weather conditions (If it is very windy or there is torrential rain meaning poor visibility) may mean we have to reschedule your lesson. We will always contact you to advise you as soon as we are able to discuss the options with you.

    Requirements

This paddle is for club members and confident returning paddlers only! You will need to shower / wash hands thoroughly after the session if you have fallen in or been splashed and need to ensure any open cuts are covered.

We will also need to know of any recent injuries prior to the session.

    What to bring

PLEASE DRESS WARM! Windproof/Waterproof clothing is ideal! Avoid denim or cotton where possible (anything that can get heavy when wet and will not keep you warm). Thermals, fleeces/layers are great. Wetsuits available to use on the day.

What an amazing experience! Stand-up paddleboarding is restricted below Putney Bridge due to commercial traffic and fast-flowing tide. Having completed the TSK courses, I love joining Active360's organised one-way trips ...

We had the most amazing time paddling with Louise. She made us feel very safe and taught us a lot about Paddleboarding as well as the history along the river. We had great fun! Would highly recommended!

We had a fun trip along the Brent Lea onto the Grand Union Canal. We hired the kayak for two hours but actually, there isn't too far you can travel between locks so an hour would have been enough. We did spot a terrapin ...
