This qualification meets the Outdoor First Aid (Level 3) requirements and the requirements for the first aid element of the expedition syllabus for the Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
This course is delivered by our Instructor who is in active in the outdoor industry, running and leading a variety of outdoor sessions, including DofE expeditions and so has first hand experience of different situations. They are an experienced first aider.
The OFA (Level 3) is great for all those who are in the outdoor industry, whether it be voluntary or paid. It is designed for outdoor professionals who work in rural or remote environments. It will enable you, as the learner and first aider, to undertake the role when emergency medical assistance could be more than 30 minutes away.
It will provide you with the skills and knowledge to respond to a range of emergency outdoor situations including when and how to move a casualty, major illnesses and injuries, administering CPR and managing an unresponsive casualty.
This qualification is valid for 3 years from the date of achievement.
You must be a minimum of 16 years of age to participate in this course.
The cost includes a manual and certificate in paper and electronic form.
