Sea kayaking adventure day Swanage

H2O Adventures loves to take you on epic sea kayaking adventures along the coastlines of the UK. Throughout the year we have sea kayaking adventure days and weekends away where you will join one of our British Canoeing qualified coaches and guide who will show you all there is to know about sea kayaking. H2O Adventures is based on the Jurassic Coast which has so many amazing locations to explore by kayak.

Swanage is our home and this trip takes you around Swanage Bay where you can explore the old and new piers and get to see history from years gone by. You will get to head out across Swanage bay to the chalk cliffs where we have an abundance of caves and sea stacks to explore. this area is home to seals which we get to see from time to time.

During your day on the water, you will get to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Old Harry Rocks. It's a great landmark to have your photos with and stop for lunch. Studland Bay is only a short paddle away which gives us so many possibilities during your time. You will get to learn lots of great skills and even a rescue practice or 2 if you're feeling brave.

Our sea kayaking adventures are a full day out on the water and can cover up to 15km in a day, so a reasonable level of fitness is required. Previous kayaking experience is required for the longer trips which will be highlighted when booking. Each trip is planned around the tides so you won't be paddling against the flow

H2O Adventures has a fleet of P&H and dagger sea kayaks including the Delphin, Scorpio, Virgo, and the Dagger Stratos giving you lots to choose from and gain experience in the different kayaks. Perfect if you are looking into buying one of the kayaks we have.

What to bring: Suitable clothing for the conditions in the summer months light clothing t-shirts shorts or leggings with suitable footwear i.e. trainers that you are happy to get wet. A light windproof jacket, sun hat, and sunscreen. In the colder months, we have wetsuits that are available to hire. Please bring food and drink for the day as this is not provided and we can't guarantee where we will stop for lunch.

You will need a reasonable level of fitness for a full days sea kayaking. previous experience is needed.

H2O Adventures supplies the following equipment: kayak, paddle, buoyancy aid, helmet, spray deck and a dry bag for your belongings.

You will need to bring food and drink for the day as we may not reach studland beach dependent on the groups ability along with any medication you may need.

Please bring a hat, sunscreen, drink and nibbles for your trip along with any medication* you may need for the day (*Please make your guide aware of any medical conditions prior to starting your trip).

During your Swanage sea kayaking adventure day you will get to head out into Swanage bay and explore the old and new pier. Learning lots of skills to carve your way between the towers holding up the pier. explore the 3km of Swanage bay before getting to the white chalky cliffs with an abundanve of caves and sea stacks.

You will get to visit both Studland bay and the UNESCO world heritage site of Old Harry Rocks where we can stop for a look and grab some lunch before heading back to Swanage.

You will get to head out for a full days sea kayaking from various locations along the Jurassic coast and across the UK. We will post up the locations on the booking calendar.

Each trip will see us planning the day's sea kayaking and exploring whilst being coached on various sea kayaking techniques. You can use these trips as part of your sea kayak awards and personal performance awards from British Canoeing.
