    Description

Our Inclusive Donut sessions are for children 4+ and young adults with special needs to enjoy the thrill of donutting. These sessions are strictly for visitors with disabilities, special needs and their carers. Siblings are also welcome. We want everyone to have to opportunity to try donutting so on these sessions we have reduced the numbers attending.

A donutting session starts by walking down the steps to the bottom of the slope where you will meet one of the supervisors. We will check that everyone understands the rules and is dressed safely and correctly for the session. From there, we can give you a Donut, walk up to the top (with a helping hand from the lift) and get ready to slide back down. 3.... 2.... 1.... GO!!

To ensure the safety of all participants, it is essential that everyone wears gloves and a helmet during the session. Additionally, we kindly ask all slope users to follow our Six Rules for Donutting at all times.

We understand that each individual may have unique needs and requirements. If you feel that you need further adaptation to the session, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at bookings@activenation.org.uk. We're here to make sure everyone can enjoy the fun of donutting to the fullest!

Join us for an unforgettable experience at our Inclusive Donut sessions and let the excitement begin!

    Requirements

These sessions are strictly for visitors with disabilities, special needs and their carers.

Minimum age for this activity is 4 years.

Everyone must be able to follow our SIX RULES for SAFE DONUTS listed below to keep yourself and other users safe.

    1. Crossing the slope – Look up the hill to check there is no one coming down. Think ‘Crossing a road.’
    2. Walk up the lift track holding onto a lift. Walk, don’t run.
    3. At the top, listen to the supervisor. Wait until it is your turn.
    4. Set off from the top when the supervisor says GO! We all need to leave the top together, at the same time.
    5. Stay seated when going down keeping hands and feet off the slope.
    6. Stay seated in your Donut, until all Donuts have come to a complete stop.

ADULTS – Ensure you leave the top on GO. Don’t wait for your child to go ahead of you.

Failure to follow these rules could result in being asked to leave the session for your safety and the safety of other users.

If you have any questions, please ask a member of staff.

    What to bring

    All participants must have;

    1. Gloves
    2. Long sleeves (Recommended)
    3. Long trousers (Recommended)
    4. Dress for the weather as we are outdoors.
    5. Helmet for under 17's
    6. Trainers

We ask people to bring their own helmets where possible. We do have some helmets here to lend to those with out them. Gloves need to cover hands and fingers. We sell gloves for £4.00
