SUP Club Members Social Paddling on the Reservoir

Description

Our SUP Club social paddle sessions are open to Members only, and there are also events, tours and trips available throughout the year exclusively to members.

Sundays we’re on the water at Farmoor Reservoir. We aim to create an environment for SUP enthusiasts to develop their skills, make new friends and enjoy social paddles around Oxfordshire and beyond.

We always have a range of boards available to hire at the Club, along with paddles, wetsuits and PFD’s. This means you can try lots of different boards and paddles before you make a decision to buy your own. When you do want your own board we can also help you source boards, paddles and other equipment though our SUP Shop.

Requirements

These social paddling sessions are for Club Members only.

You are required to complete a BSUPA "Ready to Ride" Lesson before attending these Club sessions.

This is to ensure you can paddle confidently and safely on your own, so that you can fully enjoy the sessions.

Minimum age for children - 10

ALL under 18's must be accompanied by an adult on the water.

Biodiversity and invasive non-native species policy: As users of Thames Water's Farmoor Reservoir facility we have a responsibility to do our part in taking care of the biosecurity of the site.

If you are bringing your own board to use on Farmoor Reservoir it is your responsibility to ensure you have thoroughly cleaned it before you arrive. We have facilities on site for you to clean your board before and after using the water. Please help us to keep our environment safe by abiding by this policy.

What to bring

You'll need to bring a pair of trainers or water-sports shoes to wear on your feet, along with your swimwear and a towel.

We provide wetsuits and buoyancy aids.

During the warmer months of summer you can wear shorts & t-shirts.

Itinerary

Please check in at SUP Club HQ.

Once we've got you kitted up and ready to go we'll head over to the water.

We'll start with a safety brief and then head out onto the water and get paddling.

You should expect to be on the water and paddling for at least 90 minutes.
