Get yourself race ready for the summer season
Description
We welcome a wide range of experience for our races, from complete novices to some quite accomplished racers.
We’re a very friendly team, and there’s no big egos to contend with. The emphasis is very much on the TEAM, so we all work together to improve as paddlers and encourage each other to improve technique.
We run races within the club, with categories for those with a competitive nature, and for those just wanting to experience the fun of a SUP race.
We have a range of boards suitable for race training and racing available to hire at the Club, and we can also help you source your own race boards, paddles and other equipment though our SUP Shop.
Requirements
To attend this race training clinic you must have completed a BSUPA "Ready to Ride" level 1 beginner lesson and be paddling confidently on your own.
This event is aimed at Novice and Intermediate SUP paddlers.
You'll need to be fit, have mastered the basics of SUP, and have been paddling independently for a while.
What to bring
You'll need to bring a pair of trainers or water-sports shoes to wear on your feet, along with your swimwear and a towel.
We can provide wetsuits and buoyancy aids if you need them.
During the warmer months of summer you can wear shorts & t-shirts.
If you have your own board already and would like and bring it along with you, that's no problem.
Likewise if you want to use your own wetsuit or PFD, please bring it with you.
