Description
The format for this group paddle board lesson starts off with 20 to 30 mins of land based drills to help you understand the different stroke techniques to power your board through the water, as well as crucial safety points & information, so that after this session you can confidently paddle independently.....Once on the water we will take a tour of the beautiful Chichester Canal looking out for Nesting Herons, Moor Hens, Swans and the occasional Wood Pecker & more...Whilst developing your flat water paddle boarding skills, as your instructor now pays attention to your technique... Ideally, in this session, your instructor will have you standing and navigating a good course on the water but, if you don't wish to stand there is no pressure to do so. The group session normally starts at 9.30am and runs every Monday, Wednesday, Friday during the week and both days on the weekend. Additionally for those who want to have fun as a group or family we also offer use of a giant paddle board option (min of 4 persons in your group and you will need to let us know that you wish to do this - the giant paddle board can take up to 8 persons max and will be available for use instead of individual paddle boards which can be great fun for a family or group as an alternative ) We provide all the necessary equipment and expert tuition.....apart from wetsuits (which, if needed, can be hired within this booking process)......After you have booked all you then need do is turn up & be able-bodied, and able to swim 50m to participate...Please Note: If anyone is under 18 but over 8 all we ask is that a parent or guardian accompany them. Meeting Point: We meet at Hunston Pontoon, in Hunston near Chichester. There is a free car park nearby We recommend you arrive at least 30 minutes before you start time as the car park can be busy during the summer and you will need time to get changed too....We are usually there an hour beforehand so if your unsure, just look for a van with lots of paddle boards on it...FINAL & V IMPORTANT NOTE REF TIMINGS & CONDITIONS FOR YOUR ACTIVITY: We aim to provide you with the safest & best learning experience for all activities that we offer and within this we have a number of variables that must come together so that we can go ahead with any of the activities we teach, such as needing to time water sessions during low tide conditions for kitesurfing or e foiling tuition, having enough wind & the correct wind direction for both wing foiling & kitesurfing lessons, + high tide conditions for wing foiling lessons, not too much wind for paddle boarding and of course waves for surfing (but not too big !) and more .....So, please understand that all times on the day that you have booked are therefore ARBITRARY & open to adjustment (adjusting for tides for example) and or even reschedule (if theres no wind for kitesurfing for example) and that you have agreed to comply with this within the terms and conditions of your booking. We will of course inform you of this the day before your chosen activity as we assess predicted conditions and tidal information the day before so we have the latest information to hand. So in short, please plan your day to be flexible around your booking as we often have to adjust start times according to weather, tide and other bookings accordingly.
