Pricing : The price for this course reduces with the more people you have in your group, so that families and or groups are rewarded accordingly. Pricing therefore starts at £50 per person but reduces to £45 per person on 2 booked, £42.50 on 3 booked, £40 per person on 4 booked and so on.

Intro: The intro kitesurfing course is designed for people that have had zero or very little experience with kitesurfing before. It is a mandatory course for anyone new to the sport of kitesurfing as it not only provides practical experience in use of a power kite but also covers essential safety, site reconnaissance, set up and regulations & signals that you need to be practiced in prior to starting this wonderful sport.

Why do this course: To make things more clear here, imagine if you took up sky diving (another awesome activity) ..You would not expect to jump out of the plane straight away, would you ? I assume that you would want to know that you packed your parachute correctly, that the conditions were favourable and that you jumped and deployed at the right altitude and that you understood how to deploy your secondary if needed, right? So the same for kitesurfing. We want you to be fully confident, competent & safe in your abilities before we put you on the water and therefore if you have no prior experience of kitesurfing we highly recommend this course

Timings: This course has a scheduled start time that can be adjusted according to conditions and we may also adjust this if you wish to do the intro course on the same day as the 2 or 3 hour water lesson option....

    Subjects covered:

    1. Introduction to the different kite designs used in kitesurfing
    2. Understanding the wind window and how we orientate ourselves within it
    3. The various safety systems & signals involved in kitesurfing
    4. Understanding site reconnaissance & site selection for kitesurfing
    5. Understanding tides, weather & wind for kitesurfing
    6. Understanding different types & sizes of kites and boards for kitesurfing
    7. Understanding how the kit works & putting it together
    8. How to assist & execute safe launching & landing a power kite
    9. Basic kite flying, balancing & trimming a kite
    10. Figures of 8's, 1 handed control & kite loops
    11. Practical discovery of the wind window with your kite
    12. Overview of self rescue & safety pack down
    13. Overview of safety change over (passing a kite from 1 person to the next)

FINAL & V IMPORTANT NOTE REF TIMINGS & CONDITIONS FOR YOUR ACTIVITY: We aim to provide you with the safest & best learning experience for all activities that we offer and within this we have a number of variables that must come together so that we can go ahead with any of the activities we teach, such as needing to time water sessions during low tide conditions for kitesurfing or e foiling tuition, having enough wind & the correct wind direction for both wing foiling & kitesurfing lessons, + high tide conditions for wing foiling lessons, not too much wind for paddle boarding and of course waves for surfing (but not too big !) and more .....So, please understand that all times on the day that you have booked are therefore ARBITRARY & open to adjustment (adjusting for tides for example) and or even reschedule (if theres no wind for kitesurfing for example) and that you have agreed to comply with this within the terms and conditions of your booking. We will of course inform you of this the day before your chosen activity as we assess predicted conditions and tidal information the day before so we have the latest information to hand. So in short, please plan your day to be flexible around your booking as we often have to adjust start times according to weather, tide and other bookings accordingly.
