For young people aged 8-11yrs

Fridays Term Time

£10 per person per session

Youth club paddling sessions give young people the opportunity to build their confidence and skills in an outdoor adventure sport whilst also making new friends.

During the sessions, participants will learn basic paddling skills and technique, play games and learn about the different craft we have at Waterside (Canoes, Kayaks & Paddleboards).

Sessions are led by qualified instructors.

Buoyancy aids will be provided and must be worn by all participants throughout the activity.

All participants must wear closed-toe shoes when paddling.

Participants should bring a towel and change of clothes with them to change into at the end of the session.

We ask that participants wear clothes that do not restrict their movement and that they are happy to get wet and dirty as this is an outdoor adventure sport activity.

Booking note

Bookings will initially be made in parent/guardian name and then individual participants must be added by selecting the "Invite participant" link.

This will allow you to fill in the young person's details on the consent questionnaire and disclaimer. This should be completed at time of booking.

If you are unable to access these forms online, please email Waterside@berkshireyouth.co.uk and request a "Y23 form" to complete and return to the Waterside team.

Please note; that if booking for more than 1x participant a disclaimer and questionnaire will need to be completed in full for each participant that you book for.

Young people must be in primary school years 5 & 6 (age 10+)

This is a water-based activity and participants are likely to get wet.

Participants should bring the following to each session:

1. Closed-toe shoes (to wear when paddling)
2. Towel and change of clothes
