Description

Explore Llandegfedd Lake from a different perspective. Hire a sit-on-top kayak and take a leisurely paddle around the reservoir whilst feeling close to the water. As you make your way around the reservoir enjoy the spectacular views and look out for local wildlife. You may even see an otter!


Please arrive 20 minutes prior to start time to allow time to change into required kit ready for a safety briefing at the start time.


The minimum age allowed on the water is 5 years.

5 to 7 years old - Can be on a craft with a responsible adult aged 18+

8 to 13 years old - Can paddle own craft, whilst supervised by a responsible adult aged 18+ on the water

14 to 17 years old - Can paddle own craft with a responsible adult aged 18+ on site that is contactable in the case of an emergency


Weather:

Safety is our number one priority. If weather conditions are poor (e.g. strong winds or thunder and lightning) or other incidents occur, we reserve the right to restrict activity. Advance notice will be given where possible. However, sometimes decisions must be made at short notice. If we close for activities, we will contact all customers impacted to either reschedule or refund.

-Swimsuit for under your wetsuit

-Towel

-Wet shoes or old trainers to wear during your activity

-Change of clothes

-Wetsuits will be provided as well as buoyancy aids. Buoyancy aids are a requirement. Helmet will be provided where appropriate.

Fantastic breakfast and great value sunday lunch (£15 in Feb 2026) with a beautiful view. Friendly staff and good coffee. Disabled parking and lift access. Really quiet on a Thursday morning in January.

Lovely walk but worth noting the main loop/ "up there and back" walk aren't available until March due to overwintering birds. Lots of bins along the reservoir, and a nice gravel path through the woods. Really peaceful ...

Took my son and his friend paddleboarding. They had a great time and reasonably priced. I watched front the canteen. Good coffee at a decent price. 1hr free parking then £3 all day.
