Llandegfedd Activity Centre

Excellent spot for a cold dip - pre book for this. The lifeguards were extremely vigilant (I was a solo swimmer and both lifeguards on duty watching me!). Changing facilities are fab and extremely clean. For reference - the reception for swimming is the second building.

Fantastic breakfast and great value sunday lunch (£15 in Feb 2026) with a beautiful view. Friendly staff and good coffee. Disabled parking and lift access. Really quiet on a Thursday morning in January.

Lovely walk but worth noting the main loop/ "up there and back" walk aren't available until March due to overwintering birds. Lots of bins along the reservoir, and a nice gravel path through the woods. Really peaceful and beautiful views over the water.
We had a hot drink to go each from the cafe (nice selection of cakes!) we were served quickly and the lady who made our drinks was very nice.
Toilets clean and easily accessible.
