Coastal Printing with Diana Hamilton

Join us for a fun, hands-on workshop exploring the local coastal landscape through cyanotype printing and Gelli Plate experimentation.

The workshop is suitable for the whole family, anyone above the age of 8 years can take part.

We’ll venture outdoors to gather intriguing natural shapes, textures, patterns and materials, transforming them into striking cyanotype artworks.

Whether you’re new to printmaking or looking to develop your creative practice, this relaxed and exploratory session offers plenty of opportunities to experiment, play and create. You’ll learn how to capture the character of the coastline in bold blue-and-white prints, while exploring the expressive possibilities of Gelli Plate printing.

Be inspired by the landscape, enjoy the freedom to make, and discover new ways of seeing the world around you. By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a collection of exciting original prints, new practical skills and plenty of ideas to share.

Dress for the weather!

During the session you will go out on the beach to scavenge materials to work with.

Please wear warm and waterproof clothing and suitable footwear for the beach.
