Snorkel SEAfari

Already a seasoned snorkeller and looking for the chance to explore Arran's unique underwater ecosystems? Look no further than one of COAST's Snorkel Safaris, led by our fully qualified BSAC instructors.

The sessions are suitable for those who already have prior snorkel experience and are limited to 6 participants per session. Participants will be required to bring their own equipment to this session, including an appropriate wetsuit or swimwear, mask, snorkel and fins. Each session will last up to three hours, consisting of a safety briefing, kitting up and an in-water session. Get ready to discover some of the underwater treasures that Arran has to offer!

Cancellation/Refund Policy:

* If the event is cancelled due to unfavourable weather (at the instructors discretion) or unforseeen circumstances, we will where possible reschedule to another event. Alternatively, you will be entitled to a full refund.

* If you are unable to attend the event, we will offer a full refund if the cancellation is made no later than one week before the date of the event.

* Any cancellation made within one week of the event date will not be eligible for a refund

* The instructors reserve the right to refuse participation in the event if they suspect client(s) are under the influence of alcohol/drugs - in this instance the session would be non-refundable.

Snorkelling in open water is an activity which requires general physical fitness and good health. You should not take part in this activity if you have a history of diabetes, epilepsy (blackouts), perforated eardrums, high blood pressure, any lung or respiratory disorder. Anyone wishing to take part in a snorkelling session with COAST must complete a medical declaration. Remember: the applicant is the one at risk if a false declaration is made.

PLEASE NOTE: You are required to complete the booking form and medical declaration at time of booking. Each form must be completed by each participant.

1. Minimum age of 18 years old to participate
2. You must be able to swim 50m unaided
3. You must be a competent snorkeller and comfortable in deep water, out of your depth.
4. Your own snorkel equipment
5. No alcohol is to be consumed on the day of the session.

You will need to bring with you on the day:

*Full wetsuit

*Snorkel and mask

*Hood, gloves and boots

* Swimming shorts/costume (if you can arrive wearing it, even better)

* Rash vest (if you have one) or long-sleeved top (for extra warmth)

* Towel

* Warm, dry clothing for afterwards, including a woolly hat

* Snacks and a drink - a thermos of a hot something is recommended!

* Any medication you may require

* Anything else you would normally bring with you eg. sunscreen

*Weights if used (check for positive buoyancy)

*GoPro or equivalent if you have them

...and finally - a sense of adventure!

Please note: There are NO changing facilities at the venue - we shall be changing in the open - so you will need a dry robe, changing robe or large towel.
