THIS IS A 2 DAY COURSE !

Course Content :

Clothing / Life Jackets . Safety . Meteorology and interpretation of . Tidal streams and Curve . Launching and Recovery. Charts pilotage and passage planning. The Buoyage system.Limitations of GPS. Documents to be kept on Board . IRPCS: collision regulations. Different hull and drive types. Trailers and slipways.

Slow speed maneuvers. Steering a course. Securing to a mooring buoy, leaving and coming alongside (parking) . Turning in a confined Space. Man overboard recovery. Anchoring . Planning speed maneuvers and slowing down.

Enthusiasm .

Sun Cream, a hat , water , appropriate footwear NO FLIP FLOPs .

Copy ID , can be a photo on your phone .

2 x passport photos to be used on your powerboat level 2 certificate / ICC Application . Small size photos work best : Width: 26mm, Height: 32mm

Day 1 : Predominantly based around the Port of CN Altea , learning , new boat handling skills , plus Theory .

We lunch at Bon Vent , restaurant inside Club Nautico Altea day 1 .

Day 2 : More new skills and reinforcement of day 1 . We carry out a small expedition visiting local ports , points of interest within our training area . Putting into practice your passage planning skills . Theory Knots , Awards Ceremony :)

We lunch out on our expedition day 2 .

UNDER 18’s too be accompanied by Guardian or Sudo Guardian on same Course .
