    Join us for our immersive “Summer Swimming Essentials” afternoon led by three expert coaches - Rhian Manley (Devon Sea Swim’s Open Water Swim coach, Triathlon Coach and Beach Lifeguard), Maggie Gilboy (Sports Therapist and Yoga teacher) and Kirsty Hale (Kirsty Hale Nutrition) - designed to boost your confidence and skills in and out of the water.


    🌊 Outdoor swimming safety and breathing with Rhian Manley - Learn to prepare and plan for your swims with expert insights on breathing techniques to relax your swimming, tides, weather, coastal conditions and tactical swimming


    💪 Core strength and mobility for for Swimmers - Maggie Gilboy - Master techniques to improve core stability and mobility for more powerful, efficient swimming and a reduced risk of injury


    🥗 Fuel your Swim with Kirsty Hale - Discover essential nutrition tips, enjoy delicious tastings and learn how to prepare and recover from your swims with the right foods.


    This fun, hands-on experience will leave you with practical tools and expert knowledge to plan safer, more enjoyable swims, improve mobility and core strength for more efficient swimming, and fuel your body for peak performance.

    Requisitos

    Due to the nature of the venue, it will not be possible to take into account any food allergies. Bookings will not be possible for those with food allergies.


    Qué traer
    1. Wear comfortable clothes that you can move and stretch in.
    2. some sessions may be outside, so dress accordingly as per weather.
    3. Bring swimwear and warm clothes if you are going to join the own risk social swim after the event with your fellow course mates.

    Itinerario
    1. Learn to plan your swim by assessing tides and weather and other relevant safety information to make your swim both enjoyable and safe.
    2. Learn why core stability and thoracic mobility are important in swimming and practice exercises to maintain or improve you own
    3. understand the importance of breathing method in sea swimming and practice techniques to improve yours.
    4. learn about the key concepts of good nutrition to fuel your swimming, taste some examples and go home with recipes ready to make your own.
