Thames Valley & Oracle Tour with Coachin

Take your paddle skills to the next level with our Thames Valley Tour with Coaching!

This 3hr hour guided tour sets off from The Thames at Wokingham Waterside Centre (Optional Park-Run is here for the runners on a Saturday at 9am but get there early to secure parking!) There is free on the road car parking, with the river just a short walk across the green and picnic area.

We'll head Left and onto the Kennet & Avon having a play in the eddies, portaging a weir, paddling through Reading town Centre and the Oracle Shopping Centre for a unique experience before turning back and returning via a slightly different route, past the abbey ruins for a refreshment break, a view of the prison and a little adventure challenge before continuing our journey back.

This tour is perfect for paddlers who have already attended a tour or some improvers coaching and are looking to gain extra skills, build confidence and gain experience of wider sheltered waterways with flow and motion, it is an experience that will help improve your technique and make great memories.

You will be expected to be able to carry your board, self-launch, turn, stop, stand up paddle and self rescue with minimal support for this tour.

If you are not quite there yet, please try the Basingstoke Canal tours instead. If you feel the need to paddle on your knees for a break though, that is completely fine.

Please note that due to limited time availability; bookings are on a first come first serve basis so be sure to secure yours as soon as possible!

Intermediate paddlers, must have joined a tour or done coaching previously. Please get in touch before booking if in any doubt or are self taught/learnt with another company.

Autumn suitable clothing - Quick dry comfortable layers with additional warm and windproof layers if chilly/raining

Soft soled footwear/neoprene boots.

Capped or Beanie Hat depending on rain/cold

Towel & a full change of clothes for the car for afterwards.

Snacks, Drinks and Money for the pub stop.
