The Whitewater Rescue Technician - Professional (WRT-PRO) course is designed for professional river users who require a rescue capability in a whitewater environment, e.g. raft guides, safety kayakers and gorge walk leaders.
During the three day course we will cover topics such as swimming techniques, tensioned diagonals / zip lines and rescue techniques for both the conscious and unconscious casualty. Strainer swims and entrapment issues will also be examined during the course. The course also looks the issues in operating at night .
The cost includes registration fees, manual, use of any technical or person kit and PPE if required.
Includes 1 night exercise (this will be arranged on Day One of the course)
