Description
Come along and brave the waves and then visit the Girvan RNLI station for a water safety event.
It’s all about dips, not distance. Community not competition.
And afterwards we will get our chips and make our way to the RNLI lifeboat station where we will meet David Bova (water safety officer) for an informal presentation about water safety and enjoy a tour of a lifeboat and the station and hopefully meet some of the crew too!
This is a fabulous opportunity not to be missed.
All proceeds will be donated directly to Girvan RNLI.
When: 6pm
Where: Girvan beach car park; What3Words: relished.distilled.scribble
What You Need:
• swimsuit, swim shoes or old trainers, swim gloves if available. Warm hat. (I recommend wearing your swimsuit under your clothes for ease of changing) Wear a wetsuit if you prefer, however, it is not a requirement (there are so many fantastic benefits of exposing your body to cold water!)
• Please bring plenty of warm clothes for afterwards, including a dry hat & gloves, even on a warmer day. Never underestimate how many layers you will need.
• Money for your chippy tea afterwards.
• £10 per person
