Midweek Swimventure at Wood of Cree
Description
Join me for a mid-week ‘Swimventure’ in the heart of the Galloway Forest Park.
Step away from the hustle and bustle of your busy life, and enjoy an invigorating activity with likeminded people.
We will take a leisurely walk around the Wood of Cree. A magical place; the largest area of ancient woodland in Southern Scotland, and is an RSPB nature reserve. At the end of the walk you can visit an otter pool on the River Cree.
We will dip/swim in a natural pools in the bracing water of the Cordorcan Burn.
This event involves clambering down in to the burn so does require a degree of agility! But there is no need to be super fit, we always go at the pace of the slowest person. No racing or route marching here - so no need to worry if you're feeling apprehensive about the experience.
What to bring
Swimsuit, swim shoes or old trainers. Wear a wetsuit if you prefer, however, it is not a requirement (there are so many fantastic benefits of exposing your body to cold water!)
Please bring plenty of warm clothes for afterwards, including hat & gloves, even on a warmer day.
Flask with hot drink & snack for afterwards.
