Introduction to Basket Weaving ST

Come and get creative and learn how to make your very own Willow Basket. On the day you will be given step by step instructions and a demonstration on how to use Willow to weave, learning the most commonly used basket weaving techniques.

1. You'll learn how to make a basket using various willow basket weaving and crafting techniques
2. Familarise yourself with the different types of Willow and tools needed
3. Take your finished Willow basket home to display proudly in your own home.

All materials included along with some sweet treats and of course some relaxing background music.

Please note there is a set of stairs up to the main hall of the Tower, these do have a handrail but as with any historic building the age of the Tower, they are uneven in places.

Feel free to bring your own favourite pair of secateurs to use on the day. Please also wear warm clothing as although we will be undercover indoors the Tower is very basic and the heat will be provided by an open fire.
