Falklands Outdoors

A big thank you to Dan for this canoe kayak outing, it was a magnificent outing!! We were able to see lots of animals from the water (cormorant, magellanic penguins, sea lions, shearwaters...) Dan had planned a short break for tea to wait for sunset to see birds that only come back at night! Thanks to Dan for his attention and his desire to give us a wonderful experience!! I recommend these outdoor outings to discover the Falklands in a different way!

The kayaking trip organised by Dan, Peter and the team at Falklands Outdoors was one of the greatest highlights of our trip to the Falkland Islands.

Everything was organised with huge professionalism, and Dan’s knowledge and care for his clients (and for the natural environment) was palpable throughout. The equipment (kayaks, dry-suits, etc) were new and very effective.

During our trip, we were treated to the sight of dolphins jumping over the bows of our kayaks. I’ve never experienced anything like it anywhere.

Dan was an exceptional guide throughout our day with him. We went out kayaking with a group of 7 young people (winners of the Falklands 40 schools competition) and he provided really amazing levels of guidance throughout. From putting all the gear on, talking us through our route and then helping everyone on the water. It was an incredible experience kayaking alongside the peale dolphins who came and accompanied us. Everyone who visits Stanley should try this if they have time!!
