    If you haven’t swum in cold water before or completely new to Sandy Toed Sea Swimmers please book onto our Introduction to cold water swimming/brand new session.


    Only on your first booking a questionnaire & disclaimer will need to be completed & signed. If there are any amendments from previous sessions, Sandy Toed Sea Swimmers must be notified. If you are including additional swimmers to your booking, please 'invite' them via your confirmation email, this will send them the relevant forms to be completed beforehand.


    Welcome to Sandy Toed Sea Swimmers, our novice sessions are available for all abilities who are 18+ and suitable for those who may be strong and confident in a swimming pool but are new to open water. Sessions are 45 minutes and include a safety briefing and tips to help you enjoy your swim to the fullest.

    As well as sharing our open water passion with you, our sessions will give you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to begin or continue with your own open water journey.

    From May 2024 all sessions will be held at Felpham* . 15th December will be at Bognor East.



    PLEASE NOTE, due to circumstances beyond our control we may have to change the meeting place and time on the day, please check here before your session.














































































































    Gofynion
    1. Must 18 years of age or over
    2. Be in good health
    3. The medical questionnaire must be completed and disclaimer signed before your session starts.

    Must haves:

    1. Tow float (loaned by us), brightly coloured swimming hat (we have spares if necessary).
    2. Swimming costume/trunks, towel.
    3. Plenty of dry layers of clothing, a woolly hat, hot drink, and a snack for after.

    Optional:

    1. Wet suit, goggles, swimming gloves, swimming socks or shoes.
    2. Changing robe.
    3. A rubber backed bath mat is also useful to stand on whilst getting changed.
    4. Dry bag/tow floats are a fantastic way to keep keys and phones safe and dry.






    Amserlen
    1. Safety briefing beforehand/ debrief at end.
    2. Address how to cope with common panics and fears.
    3. Learn to acclimatize to open water
    4. Learn and put into practice water safety skills.
    5. Progress from breaststroke to head in front crawl -mastering breath control, body position, timing, and stroke efficiency
