    Only on your first booking a questionnaire & disclaimer will need to be completed & signed. If there are any amendments from previous sessions, Sandy Toed Sea Swimmers must be notified. If you are including additional swimmers to your booking, please 'invite' them via your confirmation email, this will send them the relevant forms to be completed beforehand.




    Welcome to Sandy Toed Sea Swimmers, our introduction to cold water swimming sessions are for all abilities (18+) who are new to sea swimming and for those who haven't swum with us before.

    These sessions are up to 45 minutes and include useful information as well as hints and tips to help you enjoy your swimming to the fullest. There will also be a chance to ask any questions. Afterwards we will have a short swim. Please note that the time spent in the water depends on the weather, sea conditions and temperature.

    Once you have completed this session you will be ready to join our novice or advance group.

    From May 2024 all sessions will be held at Felpham. .

    PLEASE NOTE, due to circumstances beyond our control we may have to change the meeting place and time on the day, please check here before your session.











































    Gofynion
    1. Must 18 years of age or over
    2. Be in good health
    3. The medical questionnaire must be completed and disclaimer signed before your session starts.

    Must haves:

    1. Tow float (loaned by us), brightly coloured swimming hat (we have spares if necessary).
    2. Swimming costume/trunks, towel.
    3. Plenty of dry layers of clothing, a woolly hat, hot drink, and a snack for after.

    Optional:

    1. Wet suit, goggles, swimming gloves, swimming socks or shoes, ear plugs.
    2. Changing robe.
    3. A rubber backed bath mat is also useful to stand on whilst getting changed.
    4. Dry bag/tow floats are a fantastic way to keep keys and phones safe and dry.



    Amserlen
    1. You will be given lots of information, hints and tips to help you start your cold water swimming journey.
    2. Safety briefing beforehand/ debrief at end.
    3. Address how to cope with common panics and fears.
    4. Learn to acclimatize to open water and colder temperatures.
    5. Learn and put into practice water safety skills.
